Nova Skipp

Skipp Productions

Skipp Productions was founded by Nova Skipp initially to produce her two hander show The Sound of Julie, about the life and music of Julie Andrews. It co-starred Jody Crosier as the male lead and was accompanied by Paul Crew at the piano. This premiered at the Elgiva Theatre, Chesham in 2005. It was co-written with her mother, Lisa Skipp, and directed by her late father, Colin Skipp, who played Tony Archer in the BBC Radio 4 serial, The Archers, for over 40 years.

After almost 20 years of performing in musicals, plays, cabarets, concerts and pantomimes for other companies, Nova decided to re-launch Skipp Productions, adapting The Sound of Julie to a one woman concert, which debuted at Theatre at the Tabard, Chiswick in September 2024.

In February 2025, Nova produced the play On Golden Pond by Ernest Thompson at the OSO Arts Centre, Barnes. This was directed by Jason Moore and designed by Ian Nicholas, both of Onbook Theatre, and was very well received.

Skipp Productions’ first play was very special to Nova as it was a tribute to her late father, continuing the Skipp legacy.

In April 2026 Nova reunited with Jason Moore & Ian Nicholas of OnBook Theatre to produce Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling, once again at OSO Arts  Centre in Barnes, London, to critical acclaim.
